Electronic Filing? How do I get there?

Electronic Filing

So, electronic filing is typically a move towards the paperless office.  This is accomplished through the use of a number of technologies, including OCR, ICR, OMR, Document Capture and Document Scanning.  These technologies provide a fast simple and efficient way of scanning paper documents and capturing information on them for later use.  It can typically be tied to a BPM solution for better automation.  One example could be in IBM iSeries environments where you need iSeries PDF or AS400 PDF files.  An electronic filing system typically has 4 components:

  • Hardware - the scanning device
  • Capture/Scanning Software - provides all the above.
  • Archive - the end resting place for the documents.
  • Search and Retrieve - what everybody wants to do in the end.
I will go over each of these components through additional posts.

  1. Avoid the faff of reimbursing employee expenses. Give co-workers their own ANNA debit card, set a spending limit, and the ANNA app automatically sorts their expenses. For more please click on invoice template.
